There are two main ways to make a deposit at TAB NZ for sports and races.

When depositing online you can use:

1. Credit/Debit Card

You can deposit funds directly into your account using your credit/debit card on tab.co.nz, and on the TAB Mobile App. In most cases the money is deposited into your TAB Account immediately. There is a $2.15 fee applies to all Credit/Debit Card deposits.

You may use an existing card or add a new card on your TAB profile to make your deposit. The Promotional Code box does not need to be filled out.

If you are adding a new card, TAB require you to first enter your deposit amount. Once you enter your deposit amount and click the ‘Deposit Funds’ button, a box will pop up where you can enter your card details.

Remember that you will not be able to add a card to your account that is already being used on someone else’s TAB account or is in someone else’s name. 

For existing cards, you will be asked to re-enter your TAB account password for your funds to be deposited into your account.

2. Bill Payment

The other method is Bill Payment to top up your TAB Account via ypur online/mobile banking bill payments. The funds will be applied into your TAB account the same day for ANZ and ASB customers.

Players with other bank accounts can enjoy same day processing Monday to Friday however funds deposited on the weekend or on a public holiday will be processed on the next business day.

For example, if you don’t bank with ANZ or ASB and you deposit money late Friday night or on Saturday or Sunday, this won’t show in your TAB account until Monday morning. To make a payment, you can either:

Note that this information must be correct otherwise, this may result in a delay to funds being applied to your TAB account or your deposit may be returned to your Bank. If you are not sure what your TAB account number is please check with us.

Payments from a company bank account or any type of trust account are not accepted and will be reversed. Reversals may not be processed until the next business day, once they have confirmed the source bank account number to reverse the funds to.

Any deposits made with uncleared funds will be held until cleared by the payer’s bank.

What are the timings of deposits?

If you need your funds available at a specific time please take the processing times detailed below into account.

Weekends and Public Holidays – Both banks will only process deposits from their own accounts on weekends and public holidays. For all other banks, your funds will be applied to your TAB account on the next business day.

When you make a deposit at TAB NZ for betting at store you can use cash and Eftpos

You’ll need to complete a deposit slip in a TAB Store and enter your PIN to make the deposit.  For deposits over $5,000 a deposit slip must be completed and identification provided.

Note that  Cheques are no longer accepted at TAB stores.

How can I withdraw fund at TAB NZ?

You can withdraw funds from your TAB NZ account into a bank account by logging onto tab.co.nz and going to the ‘Withdrawal’ page in the Account section. 

The minimum withdrawal amount is $0.01. The processing time frames vary depending on your banking provider.

Your withdrawable balance is shown along with your Account Balance in your Account Dashboard. 

All you need is to do the following:

1. Click on “Withdraw” in your Account Dashboard.

2. Select ‘Bank Transfer’

3. Select or add a bank account to withdraw money into

4. Enter the amount and your password

5. Click ‘Withdraw Funds’

Online withdrawals can only be made to a New Zealand Bank Account.

TAB reserves the right to not allow the withdrawal of funds where bets are placed and then cashed out.

Note that the TAB cannot give you cash on funds that have been deposited by a Credit Card or VISA/Mastercard Debit Card online and have not been used for betting. For the purpose of withdrawals, betting does not include bets that are placed and then cashed out.

If you would like to access these funds, then you will need to have them refunded back onto the originating Credit/Debit card. This is to protect you from unauthorised Credit Card activity.

How to make a withdrawal at TAB NZ store?

The other way to make a withdrawal of your winnings is at your nearest TAB store or TAB outlet. You can make a cash or voucher withdrawal on-course or at a TAB Store.

You will need to provide Photo ID, your TAB Account number and PIN. To locate your local TAB Store click here.

Remember that as of 25 May 2021, there is now a daily withdrawal limit of $1000 in TAB retail stores and on-course venues. Multiple withdrawals can be made in a single calendar day (12am – 11:59pm), but cannot exceed $1000 cumulatively.

This withdrawal limit does not apply to online withdrawals. Alternatively, you can withdraw larger funds from your TAB account into a New Zealand bank account by going to the ‘Withdrawal’ page in the Account section of tab.co.nz.

Also remember thay the new customers who have established their Account in the last 90 days will only be able to make one withdrawal per day, to a maximum of $500.
