Spring Racing Carnival 2017

Spring racing carnival is a season when racing events takes place in Australia. To people who have never had about it, it may sound like a celebration inspired by a weather. It might seem as an athletics meet- for people, not for horses. Or like a flower circus which involves traveling, where trained geeks do back and front flips, water masters hold their breaths for minutes.

Far from it, the carnival marks a season when horse racing events in Melbourne are held. Traditionally, it is placed between the football and cricket season. During the winter season, horse racing takes a ‘back seat’ position and paves the way for cricket and football to become the center of attention as much as attendances and media coverage are concerned. However, in the season of spring, horse racing takes over the airwaves. Spring racing carnival is actually a celebration of the things we hold dear.

The favorite part of being part of the spring racing carnival is the feeling of being at the trackside with your best friends, the cheering creating an atmosphere of tens of thousands of people having the time of their life. There is an awesome side to horse racing, the psych in going with your friends and trying hard to pick a winning horse that others didn’t. At the trackside, awesome memories are made especially when you choose a path less passed.
