Silent Achiever Victorious at 2014 Ranvet Stakes

Silent Achiever is the winner of the 2000 metre 2014 Ranvet Stakes Group 1 race in Sydney, Australia. The race took place at the fabled Rosehill Gardens racecourse. It looked as if Carlton House was on the way to a clear victory, but Silent Achiever came to jump and she was prepared to run. A past New Zealand Derby Champion, 6 year old Silent Achiever jumped a head at the end to win by a slim margin. Carlton House is owned by none other than the Queen of England herself. The narrow loss negated the near Group 1 victory for the Queen.

Fiorente Finishes 7th

It was Its a Dundeel who rounded out the top 3 in the 9 horse field. One of the favourites was Fiorente, the winner of last years Melbourne Cup, but the mare wound up in 7th place. Although Fiorente was a bit of a disappointment the horse will still be one of the prime favourites this spring at the Royal Ascot.
